About Yana
Yana is a medication companion built for people in New Zealand who take regular medicines, and for the people who support them.
What Yana does
Yana helps you remember your medicines and see how you are going. You add your medications and reminder times, log each dose, and watch your history and streaks build up. A Health Tree grows with every dose you take, and a missed dose pauses a streak without taking away the progress you have made.
- Medication tracking with daily reminders and a dose history.
- Plain-language information on New Zealand medicines: what each one is for, how to take it, and common side effects.
- Health guides on common ailments and wellbeing topics such as sleep, mood and movement.
- Care Circle: invite someone you trust to see whether doses were taken on time, without seeing medicine names or doses.
- A shareable health summary you create yourself, and account deletion at any time.
What Yana does not do
Yana is a tracker, not a clinical advisor. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe, or recommend changes to your treatment, and it is not a clinical record. For medical advice, talk to your pharmacist or GP, or call Healthline free on 0800 611 116. In an emergency, call 111.
Who it is for
Yana is designed for New Zealand: people managing long-term conditions, people taking several medicines a day, and the whānau and caregivers who help them. It works in modern web browsers on phones, tablets and desktops, and there is a native Android app. An iPhone app is not available yet.
Price and your information
Core tracking, reminders, medicine information and the Health Tree are currently free, with no third-party advertising. Synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest in an Australian database, and row-level security limits records to you and the people you choose to connect. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is collected and how it may be used.
